Directed by Jake Kasdan Bad Teacher is a 2011 comedy film based on a screenplay by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, and starring Cameron Diaz, Jason Segel, and Justin Timberlake. The film was released in the UK on June 17 and in the US and Canada on June 24, 2011.
Elizabeth Halsey (Cameron Diaz) is a unfortunate Chicago area teacher who curses at her students, drinks a lot, and obtain copious amounts of drugs. She plans to get married her rich fiancé, but when he leave her, she attempt to win over replacement teacher Scott Delacorte (Justin Timberlake), who is also rich.
Bad Teacher is directed by Jake Kasdan based on a screenplay by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky. Columbia Pictures purchased Eisenberg and Stupnitsky's spec script in August of 2008. In May of 2009, Kasdan was hired to direct Bad Teacher. The following December, Cameron Diaz was cast in the film's lead role. Justin Timberlake was cast opposite Diaz in March of 2010, and filming began later in the month
