Nokia hit the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012 with smartphone monster camera-equipped. Nokia 808 PureView, thus its name, presented with powerful 41-megapixel camera. Yes, much higher than other smartphone cameras.
PureView 808 aimed as a successor to the Nokia N8 which also strong on the side of the camera in its time. The handset uses the Symbian Belle operating system. Apart from which wild side of the camera, PureView 808 specification is not too special.
Smartphone is equipped with 4 inch screen with 360x640 resolution, 1.3 GHz processor, 512MB RAM, 16GB of internal storage, microSD slot and 14.4 Mbps HSPA connectivity.
41MP camera embedded in PureView use Carl Zeiss lenses. As quoted from the Wall Street Journal on Monday (2/27/2012), the image quality was claimed to be very clear with stunning detail.
PureView 808 body itself is quite beautiful though it looks pretty thick. This handset is scheduled to go on sale in May 2012 with a price around 450 euros
