A young couple was arrested after allegedly having sex on the Treasure Island beach, Florida, in front of 50 people, including children.
Erica Huerta, 21, and Steven Douglas, 22, each charged with showing obscene acts after reportedly spending half an hour to perform various styles of lovemaking is about 100 feet (30.48 meters) from the Restaurant Caddy at that location.
According to police, there are at least five children playing in the sand. The incident happened around 7:30 on Monday, June 20, 2011. According to written testimony, both Erica Huerta and Douglas had been drinking heavily.
After arriving at the beach, the couple spent nearly 30 minutes kissing and caressing each other, which is clearly visible by the customer in near Caddy.
Then Douglas started having sex with Erica Huerta, and then beach visitors which was disturbed called the police. "This is clearly visible by about 50 restaurant customers and their children," wrote the testimony.
"When officers arrived, there were at least five children playing on the beach about 50 feet (15.24 meters) from where the incident occurred."
Huerta, of Tallahassee, and Douglas, of Lutz, both arrested and taken to the Pinellas County jail.
Douglas was released the next evening after paying a guarantee of U.S. $ 10 thousand, while Erica Huerta remained in custody in lieu of bail of U.S. $ 2,500.
