Authorities indicate that William and Kate's marriage certificate will kept confidential from the publicity.

A little-known clause in the Marriage Act provides Royal a right to liberate themselves from the normal legal provisions, which all certificates are available and can seen in a registry office.

"They're in discussions with Clarence House about this issue but do not plan to make the marriage certificate available" officials at Westminster Abbey said.

One exception to the rule is second Prince Charles marriage certificate is available to the public.

Dual system applied in the UK where marriage licenses provided by the church and civil records office.
