Strauss-Kahn resigned from IMF

Dominique Strauss-Kahn resigned as director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The resignation came after Strauss-Kahn was caught in sexual harassment and attempted rape

the resignation was announce in a press release. "I deny emphatically the greatest likelihood of all accusations that have been made against me," said Strauss-Kahn in a resignation letter released by the IMF on Wednesday (18/05/2011) local time.


Police accuse Strauss-Kahn of sexual harassment and attempted rape of a hotel house cleaner in New York. Strauss-Kahn, who is also the strongest candidate for president of France, is now languishing in jail.

The resignation of Strauss-Kahn, the IMF will soon choose his successor, but when the time not specifies.
