Disturbance in the brain is suppose to be the cause of Knut sudden death , a four-year-old polar bear who became celebrities in Berlin Zoo.
"Based on the surgery performed found any significant changes in Knut brain who allegedly was the cause of death," wrote the Berlin Zoo in its official statement on Wednesday (23 / 3).
The zoo does not explain the changes like what happened but they said he did not find any changes in other Knut organs . However, they said they still will do some other tests such as bacteriological and histological test.
Knut died suddenly on Saturday (19 / 3), in front of zoo visitors. The animal rolled over and fell into a pond in his cage. Snow bear generally can live for 15 to 20 years in the wild and even longer in captivity.
Knut, born in December 2006 at the Berlin Zoo who became celebrities because it seems cute. Knut was rejected by his mother at birth along with his twin brother who can only survive for several days. He drew the attention of visitors when his keeper, Thomas Doerflein decided to go live in the bear cage in order to give milk to Knut every two hours. Doerflein died in 2008 of a heart attack.
