Today, Tuesday, March 27, 2012 in the first page of Google search site looks a building. Image as a symbol commemorating of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe 126th birthday, a German architect.

Born on March 27, 1886, Mies is the father of modern architecture. Mies building design works of art is a new architecture that represents the modern era. A twentieth-century architectural style distinctively 'clean' and 'simple'.

Mies's works tend to use materials like steel and glass plates to complement the decor of interior space. Mies also apply the concept of minimalist but still balanced with the architectural style of open space.

Because of the simplicity of its design,  Mies works also nicknamed 'skin and bones'. Famous men with the slogan 'Less is more' and 'God is in the details' died on August 17, 1969. His grave at Graceland Cemetery, Chicago, United States marked with black granite tiles.
