The Reading Festival
The Reading Festival is an annual music festival held in Reading in United Kingdom. This event lasted for 3 consecutive days beginning on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in August. The reading festival was held at Little John's Farm at Richfield Avenue in central Reading, near Caversham Bridge. Campsites are available on both sites and weekend tickets including camping. Day tickets are also sold.

Reading Festival, the original foot and the senior of the two, is the oldest popular music festival in the world still exists. He has various musical phases over the years, as follows. On-site twin era, rock, alternative, indie, punk and metal tends to dominate.

The festival is run by Festival Republic, which divested from Mean Fiddler Music Group. For promotional purposes during 1998-2007 they were known as the Carling Weekend: Reading and the Carling Weekend: Leeds. Not surprisingly, these titles are seldom used when not needed, even if the NME do so as part of its involvement. In November 2007, the committee welcomed "Reading Festival reclaiming the prestigious name" when the title was sponsored abolished after 9 years. In 2011, the capacity of the site is 87 000 Reading and Leeds site was 75,000. This is an increase of several thousand in the previous years.

2011 Reading Festival will be held on August 26, 27, and 28.
