Rapper Jay-Z and Kanye West won Best Group title with their hit album "Watch The Throne", as reported by reuters.com. Cissy Houston's tribute to her late daughter was the emotional highlight of Sunday's BET Awards, a show that was defined by extended bleeps and the vulgarities that censors failed to catch onstage throughout the night.

Brown was chosen as Best Male R & B artist for the second time. Meanwhile, rapper Big Sean took home the award for Best New Artist category. The award for Best Collaboration category obtained by rapper Wale and Miguel for their song "Lotus Flower Bomb".

The show are held on Sunday (local time), also filled with a variety of performances to remember the late Whitney Houston who died last February.

Whitney Houston's mother Cissy provided the emotional highlight of Sunday's ceremony as she sang "Bridge Over Troubled Water" in tribute to her late daughter, leaving audience members like Beyonce and Soulja Boy in tears.
