Opera acquisition 2 Mobile ad companies

Opera Software move to gain money from mobile browser traffic services more ambitious after their acquisition of two company’s mobile advertising, Mobile Theory Inc and 4th Screen Advertising, Ltd.

Even the Norway-based company said it could be a complete solution for simple mobile advertising and platform for smart phones, including IOS, Android, Blackberry, Java and Symbian.

Opera claims, this acquisition will make them be able to better monetize traffic passes Opera Mini and Opera Mobile.

Moreover, Opera claims serve more than 160 million active users who collect more than 100 billion page views, and consume more than 16 petabytes per month mobile data services in December 2011.

Mobile Theory is a premium mobile advertising network that focuses on mobile advertising market in the U.S. The company is based in San Francisco, with offices in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Seattle.
While 4th Screen Advertising is a premium mobile advertising network that focuses on the European market and based in London, England.

"This year Opera perform an important step to create more economic value in the mobile ecosystem," Lars Boilesen, CEO, Opera Software, in his statement on Sunday (2/19/2012).

"Two years ago, we announced the acquisition of AdMarvel - which has grown into a leader in the supply-side platform (publisher platforms) for mobile advertising. While last year, Opera helped collect more than $ 200 million in revenue for our publishers globally," he added .
