Marie Curie's 144th Birthday - Google Doodles Today

Today, Google re-appear with a new doodles to commemorate Marie Curie’s 144th Birthday.

Maria Sklodowska-Curie (born in Warsaw, Poland, November 7, 1867 - died July 4, 1934 at age 66 years) was a pioneer in the field of radiology and the only woman to win two Nobel, Physics in 1903 and Chemistry in 1911. She is at once groundbreaking gender difference in the science world of 20th-century. Thanks to her services, women are increasingly recognized contribution to the development of science, especially chemistry.

Curie couple contribution to the world there are two radioactive substances. The first substance that was published in July 1989 was polonium. Then in December the same year, they introduced the substance radium,  from the Latin name ray.

Radium then widely used in medicine and also for watch industry. What is known with a substance that shines in the dark is radium element.

Outside of her inventions that help the world, this couple just does not get rich. Pierre and Marie worked hard to support their families. Marie took two teaching job to live Irene and Eve, their daughters.
