Chelsea Clinton - NBC News Journalist

The daughter of U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Former President Bill Clinton, Chelsea Clinton, formally worked as a journalist for NBC News, since Monday, November 14, 2011. Chelsea appointed as a regular contributor to the program "NBC Nightly News" in the segment "Making A Difference".

Reporting from the Wall Street Journal, Monday, November 14, 2011, Clinton could not be interviewed related to her new career. However according to a statement released by NBC, she said, "Those who imagine and provide solutions to the challenges of life, society, state, and even the world, has always inspired me."

She also added, which makes her eager to be part of NBC News was because she could help to highlight organizations and individuals that make the environment and the world more healthy, viable, and more humanely.

"I hope by speak through this segment can help me realize what my grandmother always said: life is not about what happens to you, but about how you respond to it all," she said, as quoted by Daily Telegraph.

According to Steve Capus, NBC News President, Clinton was a very committed in her new job. "Chelsea Clinton not wants to be a television star here. She was in the field to take pictures and be in the editing room to edit the results," said Capus.

Young woman who going through doctoral education at the University of Oxford is not the only daughter of U.S. political leaders who became NBC special contributor. Previously, Jenna Bush Hager, daughter of President George W. Bush, as well as Meghan McCain, daughter of Senator John McCain, has first to be a contributor to other segments.
